Who We're Helping

Key Event Sponsors

Supporting Event Sponsors

There are several, no many companies who could assist us in completing this epic trip. But the question is, “what’s in it for them?”

Before we highlight the huge opportunities for companies that decide to support us, the Help for Heroes charity and ultimately themselves, as 205 GTI fans we have committed to do this trip regardless. We are going to do this, fully self-sufficient if need be whether anyone helps us or not. This is our passion.

But we are going to make proposals anyway to the kinds of companies that can be associated with an event of this nature such that their involvement is relevant and gains them wide, great value publicity. Their decision to be involved shows their commitment and ours to both the charitable cause and the adventure of doing this fantastic route.

If we can raise just 1-Euro / 1-Pound for this important charity, then we have achieved our aims of enjoying and challenging ourselves, celebrating this great car and supporting an extremely worthwhile charity. It seems no-one loses once they’re involved.

We are confident that in these harsh economic times, ALL offered marketing and public relations (PR) opportunities - particularly if available at low cost / great value - are worthy of serious consideration.

So what do we want, and how could our supporters help the event and gain publicity?

We have divided potential supporters/sponsors into two groups: Key Event and Supporting Event Sponsors. Here are the Key Event Sponsor criteria:

  • We think the car’s manufacturer, Peugeot, should participate by providing a support vehicle (a white van) which we can use to transport spares, using the vehicle exterior as publicity space for them, the charity and (at perhaps a lesser extent) the other sponsors
  • We seek someone to help us lessen the fuel cost burden.
  • We seek someone to provide European breakdown recovery/support in the event we cannot complete a road-side repair with the expertise and components we will have with us
  • We seek a satellite navigation (SatNav) manufacturer to provide some in-car navigation units and help provide the route & route programming to all involved who need it.
  • We seek a hotel chain to facilitate better value accommodation for those who require it in the overnight stop areas.

Above are the Key Event Sponsor criteria, which are those companies which can actually benefit to the logistical operation of the EuroTrip.

In addition, there are the many companies that – if they are not already - could be associated with our cars and the EuroTrip, e.g. component manufacturers, engine and suspension specialists, component and oil/lubricant distributors etc. They will no doubt all benefit in some way from the inevitable publicity which will be generated by 40 plus ‘classic’ cars grabbing everyone’s attention driving across Europe.

It is also highly likely that the EuroTrip will gain media attention across all 9 countries, which in return for a minimum requested H4H donation of £100 (or equivalent) is surely a worthwhile corporate investment, not to be missed.

Perhaps with the help of Top Gear’s and Jeremy Clarkson’s DVD/video production company and the video cam-corders we’re going to take with us and record the event, we will be able to immortalise our trip and efforts onto digital media. This offers a much longer lifespan for any corporate exposure, where proceeds from the sales of the DVD will likewise be sent straight to H4H.

ALL contributing sponsors, from digital steady-cam mount and tyre manufacturers, to those who are going to either show it’s their car that’s getting the attention (Peugeot) or help fuel, guide or accommodate us, will receive positive graphical representation on our support vehicle (hopefully supplied by Peugeot themselves), the website and our sponsorship literature.

Key event sponsors will receive the largest graphics on the support vehicle and other media, whereas the £100 minimum for the supporting event sponsors will have their graphics in a smaller format, perhaps 200mm wide. We will also gladly wear corporate attire to reflect the efforts made be each supporter to generate even more publicity.

In summary, corporate involvement in this event is exceptional value and makes sense. We certainly hope you agree and will feel happy to discuss your contribution with us via e-mail to:

We sincerely hope you can support us in publicising and assisting Help for Heroes do their fantastic work.

Thank You.
